Audition Pieces

The auditions for Crime & Punishment will be held at 8pm at Heatherside Community Centre on Thursday 18th May.

The audition pieces for Trial by Jury are as follows :-

Judge 1st Verse No. 4 page 21 (The Judges song)

Plaintiff (Ange) 1st Verse No. 13 page 55 (I love him I love him…) also 'o'er the seasonal vernal, time may cast a shade' page 30

Defendant (Ed) 2nd Verse No. 13 page 56 (I smoke like a furnace…)

Counsel No. 8 Page 34 (With a sense of deep emotion…) to bottom of page 35

Usher No. 1 Page 6 (Now jurymen hear my advice) to middle page 7

Foreman No. 2 Page 14 (Oh I was like that when a lad) to middle page 15

The Other Woman - as Ange

The parts for Judge, Counsel, Usher and Forman can be male or female. We’ll also have at least 3 chorus ladies as “Bridesmaids”.

We'd encourage everyone who wants a part to audition. For those who don’t want to, Stuart will still have lots of “business” for everyone.

For the revue, we have chosen just 4 pieces that will give us a good idea of characterisation and vocal ability. You can choose 1 of the 4 - we will only require you to sing 1 verse and a chorus, however if you want to sing the whole song you are welcome.

The ladies will have a choice of:-
