The savoy singers has formed a committee of computer-literate people who have decided to take on the role of the web contributors on the new web site. Those people are currently Jane Clifford, Alastair Douglas, Philip Barton and Margaret Walker. Margaret is currently Editor in Chief whilst Alistair looks to be filling that role in the future. Philip Barton has already done a sterling job in populating the image galleries for the last 50 shows and may soon be starting on populating the individual show pages themselves. This is an even harder task but one he seems to be relishing. Margaret is maintaining the society diary from day to day, giving the rehearsal schedule regular updates. She is also creating news items as stuff crops up that is deemed newsworthy. This team has now been trained (we spent a day on this) and are getting up to speed and finding out exactly what can be done with this new technology. There are things in the pipeline that may revolutionise the creation and production of the SavoyYarns newsletter to name just one. With your assistance this site will be a great success. There are several ways you can submit your own copy here just follow the links on the left hand side of this page. We look forward to receiving your copy. |
